Vintage Ralph Lauren Southwestern Coat Serape Indian Blanket Jacket USA Mens L
Brand Poppy's Vintage Clothing
This product is unavailable
This is a vintage Ralph Lauren jacket or short coat made in the USA of imported 100% cotton fabric. The piece is made in a Southwestern style, out of what looks like a Mexican serape or Indian blanket. The jacket has a chest pocket and a patch pocket at either front side. The buttons are silver toned, made in a “concho” style. Note that the motif doesn’t line up exactly in the front when the coat is done up, but this was made this way.
Sizing: The size label identifies this as a size large, but please rely on the following measurements for fit, taking the thickness of the fabric into account:
Shoulders: 21” across, from shoulder seam to shoulder seam
Sleeves: 24 1/2” from the shoulder seam, including the elasticized cuff
Sleeve Inseam: 19”
Chest: 48” around
Bottom: 48” around
Length: 30 1/2”, measured flat
Condition: The original owner of this jacket obviously loved it. It has the look of a cotton jacket that has seen use, but there is no pronounced wear, except to the buttonholes, specifically the second the third buttonholes, which may have been repaired to some degree (see last two close-up photos). The repairs aren’t visible when the coat is done up. Otherwise, this is in wearable condition - a proper dry cleaning and pressing will be beneficial.
Great vintage Ralph Lauren - they don’t make these like this anymore, wonderful piece for the Polo collector!
