This is a vintage early 70s mens beach shirt made in Canada by Majestic under their “Surf King” brand name.  The pattern is a very colourful in an abstract tiki like pattern. The shirt is made of 100% cotton with a fleece interior.  Surf King specialized in beach wear, so this was meant as an after-swim cover up.  The shirt is made in a short sleeved casual/relaxed style with open neck, pointy collar and with a fleece lined pocket at either lower side.  It has a three brass button closure.   This mens beach shirt is meant to absorb water, so because of its cotton fleece construction, has some weight to it.

Age: very early 1970s

Label: Surf King ® by Majestic

Sizing: The label on this mens beach shirt states size “M” for medium, but please rely on the following measurements for fit:

Shoulders: 17” across seam-to-seam

Chest: 44” around

Waist:  42” around

Length: 26” 

Condition:  In very clean condition with no wear, tear, soiling, staining or odour - this shirt looks like it saw little use and was well kept over the years.
