Vintage Lead Crystal Glass Perfume Bottle Coloured Well Imperlux Germany

Brand Etsy

This is a vintage lead crystal glass perfume bottle that is most likely of Czech or German origin, possibly Imperlux. The well of the bottle, and its collar, is coloured in tones of violet, pink and yellow - Ive seen similar pieces made by Imperlux of Germany that are dated to the 1930s, although I cant be sure of that dating as this piece looks to me to date to the 1950s. The piece measures 6 5/8 in height to the top of the stopper and weighs 1 lb, heavy for its size and a sign of its quality. It is in very good condition with the exception of a fleabite type chip to one of the cut edges, easy to sand down should you wish to (see last close-up photo). In addition, there is some roughness to one of the top corners of the stopper, also very easy to sand down (see second to last close-up photo). There is a tiny bit of residue in the well, but this is negligible and just needs a cleaning. The damage is negligible and mentioned in the interest of full disclosure - the piece displays very well as is. As you can see in the photos, the glass has lovely colour reflectivity - note the stopper, which is clear glass, and the colour reflection in the first photo.
Lovely quality perfume bottle - very modern looking despite its age, pretty display piece!
