This is a quality Knox New York Supreme fedora hat that is made of “Genuine Panama” straw in a size 6 7/8.  The hat has a narrow brim and is decorated around the crown with a red, black and white.  There is no lining but rather a satin pad affixed to the interior top that is stamped with the Knox New York logo.  The size tag reads “6 7/8” and is made in a black and gold keyhole shape.  The sweatband is gold stamped with “Genuine Panama” and with the retailer’s name “Max Beauvais 385 St James Street W Montreal”  and the original owner’s initials “YD”.  It measures 21 1/4” around the sweatband and 6 1/4” by 7 3/4” across the opening.  It is in very good condition except for some soiling to the underside of the brim - I’m sure that this can be cleaned with the right methodology.  This is a very nice quality hat - Knox produced fine hats!
