Vintage Harrods Tuxedo Shirt with Red Polka Dots Tux Dress Shirt Mens Size L 16

This is a wonderful vintage tuxedo shirt made in England for Harrod’s Knightsbridge.  The shirt features a plain white bib front with red polka dots covering the sleeves and back of the shirt - wearing a jacket, one would never suspect that the wearer had a polka dot shirt on.  It is made with French cuffs and with a wingtip collar.  My best guess is that it dates to the 1980s or 90s - it belonged to a very wealthy philanthropist and socialite who was politically connected and was acquired from his estate.

Sizing: Size 16”/41cm neck is indicated.  The shoulders measure 18 1/2” across from seam to seam, the chest measures 23 1/2” across pit to pit with a 33 inch long sleeve from the neck, 26” long from the shoulder seam.

Condition: It is in very good condition with some slight yellowing to the edges of the interior neck and a soil line along the edge of the French cuff where it would fold.  A good dry cleaner should be able to bleach this out.  Otherwise, the shirt appears to be clean and free of wear, tear or other staining or odour.  

This is a wonderful shirt - crazy polka dot pattern on a formal dress shirt!
