Vintage Example by Missoni Overcoat Mens Wool Coat Size L T

This is a 100% pure new wool coat made in Italy and sold under the Example by Missoni label.  

The fabric on this Missoni overcoat is in a grey colour that one might perceive as being in a charcoal tone.  The coat is made in a classic style with peaked lapels, two button closure within a six button double breasted front, padded shoulders, four button cuffs, flapped side pockets and a 21” button down kick vent.  The coat is fully lined in black viscose.  Difficult to date precisely, but I would think 1980s-1990s era.

Label:  Example by Missoni.  Missoni was founded in 1953 by husband and wife Ottavio and Rosita Missoni.  They introduced their menswear line during the mid- 1980s.  The neck loop on this Missoni overcoat reads “Made in Italy”.   

Sizing: There is no size label on this Missoni overcoat and although this should fit a size large (US size 42-44), perhaps for someone a little taller, please take the thickness of the fabric and the cut of the garment into consideration, as well as if you are intending on wearing a jacket underneath:

Shoulders: 22” across seam to seam

Sleeves: 26” from shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeve Inseam: 17 1/2” long

Chest: 50” around, taken under the arms

Waist: 46”

Overall length: 50“, measured flat

Condition:  Although pre-owned, this Missoni overcoat is in very clean condition without pronounced wear, tear, soiling or odour.  

This is a wonderful Missoni overcoat - classic Italian style!
