Vintage Chinese Pyjama and Robe Set Pure Silk Embroidered

This is a beautiful three-piece vintage Chinese pyjama and robe set, made of rich royal-blue pure silk satin and decorated with vibrant machine-embroidered silk thread figural motifs. Produced during the late 1950s or early 1960s, sets like this were part of the high-quality export garments sold in North America and Europe, admired for their colour, craftsmanship, and comfort.

This vintage Chinese pyjama and robe set includes a long robe, a short pyjama top, and matching drawstring trousers. All three pieces feature detailed figural scenes framed within circular medallions, surrounded by colourful floral motifs and scrollwork done in satin-stitch embroidery. The embroidery shows the unmistakable soft sheen of silk thread, combined with the uniform precision of mid-century machine work.

The robe and pyjama top both have wide sleeves and a comfortable, loose silhouette typical of mid-century export fashion with Chinese stylistic influence. The set is labelled “Pure Silk.”
