This is a vintage caftan / Egyptian galabeya. The caftan is embroidered in gold toned yellow, green and red on the upper front and with a bit of yellow detail on the ends of the sleeves.  There is an 8” slit at either bottom side.  I’m unsure of the fabric, but it is a faille (fine grosgrain) moiré, possibly a cotton or linen silk blend, but I’m really not sure.

Sizing: Size XXL is indicated on the caftan but this is more like a regular large size although a loose fitting garment, this should still fit a range of large sizes, so please rely on the following measurements for fit:

Top, including the sleeves:  32” across 

Bust:  26” across, 52” around

Waist:  26” across, 52” around

Length:  53 1/2”, measured flat

Condition:  It is in very clean condition with no pronounced wear or tear but there is, however, a scent of perfume, mostly at the neckline. You could have it dry cleaned and that should eliminate it.
