Vintage Buti Italy Leather Handbag Purse

 This is a quality Italian leather handbag made by Buti Italy, a manufacturer of luxury leather goods.  Buti was founded by Pilade Buti in 1958, who established his atelier in Florence - they now have a presence in a number of countries.  The bag features pebbled black leather with silver-tone hardware, a structured top-handle silhouette, and a classic turn-lock closure with two leather straps. It retains its original lock and key and the purse sits on four rounded metal feet.  The interior is unlined and is clean. The purse takes inspiration from a well known high-end model by a French fashion house.  It measures 6 1/2” by 13 1/2” by 10” in height exclusive of its handle, which has a fall of 5 1/2”.  It is in very good condition with minor wear - a light scratch on the back but otherwise clean. The bag is softly structured and relaxes slightly when empty, as shown in the last photo.  

Very nice quality leather and an attractive style - these Buti purses are expensive to buy new….
