This is a wonderful 1950s era boys coat made of wool tweed. The coat is made just like a mens overcoat of the period. The tweed is made of brown and gray wool with small yellow and black nubs throughout. The coat has notched lapels, a flapped patch pocket at either side and a half turned cuff with one button at the end of either sleeve. It has an 8 1/2” kick pleat at the back and is half lined in bronze colored rayon satin.

Fabric: Wool tweed in a medium weight.
Sizing: No size is indicated, but this coat should fit about a child’s size 12, maybe a little larger or smaller - please note the following measurements for fit, but remember that some room is needed to accommodate a jacket or other clothing being worn:
Shoulders: 14” from shoulder/sleeve seam to shoulder/sleeve seam
Sleeves: 19” from the shoulder/sleeve seam
Sleeve inseam: 12 1/2”
Chest: 34” around
Waist: 34” around
Length: 29”, measured flat
It is in excellent condition with no wear, tear, holes, stains, odors or wear. It looks like it saw very little, if any, use. This is a very robust garment - should last for years if taken care of.
