This wonderful early 70s bikini was made by Emanuel Ungaro Paris as part of his Parallele pret a porter line. It came from the estate of a shopaholic who bought more than she could possibly wear, all of it high end fashion. The two pieces feature a striking green, pink, white and black colored striping. The top does up with straps around the neck, like a halter style, and with a metal clip at the back. The top is constructed in a “bow-like” style with a ring around the center. The set is made of 85% Polyamide and 15% Spandex and is labeled as a US size 8.
This is a small size
Bikini Top: The bottom of the bra measures 24 inches in length unstretched, 28 inches stretched out. The length of the bikini top unhooked is 24 inches. It looks like a A cup.
Bikini Bottom: 27 inches at the top unstretched, 30 inches stretch out. Overall length at the back bottom is 8 1/2 inches.
It was made in France. It has a Dupont label affixed to it as well as the Holt Renfrew H.R.’s Boutique label where it was originally sold. The set looks to have seen very little use and has been hand-washed. Hard to find designer bikinis of this period in such nice condition - this one has a lot of style.
