Vintage 1980s Yohji Yamamoto Mens Jacket Oversized Green Velvet Stripes Size S L

This is a wonderful vintage mens jacket designed by Yohji Yamamoto.  The jacket dates to the 1980s and, although sized as small, is oversized, as per the avant garde style of the period - please read the sizing section below.  It is made in a striped green rayon velvet, unusual for Yamamoto, who usually produced black garments.  The jacket has padded shoulders, slightly peaked lapels, a two button closure, a chest pocket, a flapped pocket at either side, two button cuffs and is fully lined in grey rayon.  There is no back vent.

Material: 100% rayon

Sizing: Size S for small is indicated, but due to the oversized style, this actually could be worn by a much larger size - it was floating on my husband, who wears a size large.  Please note the following measurements for fit, taking the style of the jacket into consideration:

Shoulders:  22” across from seam to seam

Sleeve: 25" from the shoulder seam

Chest:  48” around

Waist:  48” around

Overall length: 36", measured flat

Condition:  The velvet has some matting, but this should be rectified by a professional cleaning and pressing.  Otherwise, no other wear, tear, staining or odour. 

This is a wonderful example of Yohji Yamamoto design - oversized 80s relaxed style in a striking colour!
