This is a vintage 1980s Wayne Clark dress made in a bustier party style. This vintage 1980s Wayne Clark dress features early 80s New Wave styling - strapless and sleeveless, with button up fold-over bodice with a V shaped bust line and pointed angular bottom. The top left of the bodice does not button up but simply hangs down exposing a decoratively stitched lining. Each black plastic button is studded with six clear rhinestones. The dress is made in a fitted sheath style in a below the knee length. This vintage 1980s Wayne Clark dress does up the back with a zipper and it is lined.

Wayne Clark is a well-known Canadian designer who apprenticed with Hardy Amies in England during the 70s and returned to Canada to work for Toronto manufacturer Aline Marelle in 1977 and then designed in partnership with various Canadian manufacturers (the CA number on the content label belongs to A&D Garment Factory of Toronto), before establishing his own manufacturing company in 1989. He is noted for bias cut evening wear and high quality sports wear. He has a strong celebrity following including Jane Fonda, Cindy Crawford, Rihanna and Vivica A Fox.
