Vintage 1980s New Wave Suit Blue Patterned Black Wool Oversized w 30” Waist

This is a striking vintage 1980s New Wave suit. The suit is tailored in a black wool blend with a subtle blue speckled plaid-like patterning, creating a textured, graphic effect.

The jacket is double-breasted, with only one of the two buttons functionally closing.  It has a long, straight cut, padded shoulders, and a clean, minimalist profile typical of early 1980s fashion. The trousers are high-waisted with a straight leg and pleated front. The interior label reads Daniel, and the bilingual content tag confirms Made in Canada, with a fibre composition of wool, polyester, and acrylic.

Sizing: The size tag is not present, but note that the pants waist is only 30” while the jacket chest is 46” - this reflects the oversized style of 80s fashion.  The jacket could fit a US size 42 (maybe short - note sleeves), but the suit is meant for a small size wearing an oversized jacket.
