Vintage 1980s New Wave Jacket Made in Canada Men’s Size M
This is a vintage 1980s New Wave jacket by Philippe Roland Paris–Toronto that perfectly embodies the aesthetic of the decade. It features a sharply tailored, cropped cut with exaggerated padded shoulders and a double-breasted closure accented by six black-and-gold buttons. The wide black satin shawl lapel adds contrast to the blue textured polyester–rayon fabric.
The decorative brass-and-chain adornment attached near the chest pocket appears to have been added later, but suits the jacket’s style. Fully lined in black, it reflects the avant-garde tailoring that defined men’s fashion in the early to mid-1980s — equally suited for nightlife or performance wear.
