This is a 1980s New Wave coat that is made of a blended wool tweed in a style typical of the early 1980s. The tweed on this 1980s New Wave coat is woven in a vertical bar pattern consisting of white threads with specks of orange, yellow, green and blue, all against a black background. The neckline can be worn open or closed with the collar buttoned up to protect the neck. The shoulders have button down epaulettes and there are box pleats at the outside edges of the chest and upper back. This 1980s New Wave coat closes with four buttons hidden by an overflap and cinches at the waist with a matching belt. There is a diagonal pocket built into either side and a half belt at either cuff. The coat is lined in nylon with a 75% polyester and 25% metallized polyurethane interlining called “Thermolite” that provides extra warmth.
