Vintage 1980s Goddess Dress Martine Douvier Paris Made in France French Size 42

This is an elegant vintage dress made in France by Martine Douvier Paris.  It is sleeveless, has spaghetti shoulder straps, a scoop neckline, open upper sides and a simple, but beautiful draped construction, true goddess style.  It is extremely long - I’m unsure if this is meant to drag on the floor or simply worn by someone statuesque.  

Label:  Martine Douvier Paris Made in France.  Founded in 1977, Martine Douvier ceased operations in 2008

Material:  52% triacetate / 48% viscose

Sizing:  The size label reads French 42, which should be equivalent to a US 12, and although this should fit a large size, please rely on the following measurements for fit (please measure your body or a similar garment that you might own for comparison):

Bust: 36”-38” around, but should fall loosely

Waist: Full

Overall length: 63“, from the top of the shoulder strap to the hemline

Condition:  It is in very good condition with no wear, tear, stains or odour.  This dress looks to have seen little use at all and was well stored over the years.
