Vintage Annzella et Fille black silk evening jacket with sequins, beads, deep V neckline and padded shoulders, Lily Simon Montréal

Vintage 1980s Annzella et Fille Black Beaded Sequin Silk Evening Jacket Lily Simon

$125.00

This is a vintage black silk evening jacket dating to the late 1980s or possibly early 1990s, labelled Annzella et Fille and bearing the retail label of Lily Simon, Montréal, the well-known Canadian luxury fashion retailer.

The jacket is made from black silk chiffon fabric, extensively embellished with black sequins and small beads arranged in closely spaced, flowing lines. The beadwork follows the contours of the garment, running vertically over the shoulders, upper body and sleeves before sweeping diagonally across the lower front and back.

The sequins are predominantly black, with a reflective finish that catches the light and creates a sparkling contrast against the matte black chiffon. Rows of small black beads are incorporated between the sequins, adding texture and definition to the pattern.

The jacket has a deep V-shaped front extending to the waist, where it is designed to fasten with a single hook. The lower front is gently rounded, with the curved lines of beadwork following the shape of the hem.

The shoulders have substantial internal pads, creating the pronounced, structured shoulder line characteristic of late 1980s evening fashions. The long sleeves taper towards the wrists and fasten at the cuffs with a black glass bead and loop.

The back has a simple rounded neckline, with the beadwork forming a series of downward-pointing chevrons across the body.

The original Annzella et Fille label identifies the garment as handmade from pure silk, with dry-cleaning instructions. A separate Lily Simon Montréal label identifies the original retailer.
