Vintage 1970s Ski Doo Snowmobile Jacket Coat Bombardier Canada Mens Size L 42

This is a vintage 1970s Bombardier Ski Doo jacket.  The jacket is made in a windbreaker style with a 100% nylon exterior and polyester fill interlining.  “Ski-Doo" is embroidered in yellow on both upper sleeves, and the rest of the jacket is solid black with yellow piping.  The jacket does up the front with a zipper with a metal Bombardier pull and has two side pockets with zippers.  It has an elasticized collar that can be zipped up to protect the neck (see photo) and elasticized cuffs.  The jacket is lined in quilted black nylon.

Sizing: Size 42 is indicated on the label, and although this should fit a large size, please note the following measurements for fit, taking the cut of the garment into account:

Top:

Shoulders:  20” across from the shoulder/sleeve seam to the shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeves:  26” long from the shoulder/sleeve seam including the elasticized cuff

Sleeve inseam:  21 1/2”

Chest: 48” around, taken under the arms (24” pit-to-pit)

Bottom:  37” around, stretches out to 43”

Length:  25”

Condition:  It is in very clean condition with no wear, tear, stains or odors.  This jacket looks like it saw little use and was very well cared for over the years. 

The Ski Doo was voted one of the most innovative Canadian inventions and launched a great sports vehicle and aircraft manufacturer.  Clean look - the yellow really pops against the black background!
