This is a vintage 1970s disco era purse that can be used either as a clutch or as a shoulder bag. The interior lining is stamped “Rodo” overall - Rodo was founded in Florence, Italy in 1956 by Romualdo Dori, the name being a combination of the first two letters of each of his names. The purse has a long chain should you wish to use it as a shoulder bag. The exterior is made of metallic gold toned fabric that is in a knit crochet on the back and a combination crochet and woven ribbon on the front. The interior is constructed with one open compartment with a pocket built into the side. It has a separate mirror pouch.
Sizing: The purse measures 8 1/2” wide by 6 1/4” high. The strap has a “fall” of 19 1/2”.
Condition: It is in very good condition with no noted wear or soiling - this looks to have seen little use and was well stored over the years.
This is a wonderful quality evening purse - Rodo is renowned for their evening bags. This is very glittery under lighting - beautiful evening accent!
