Vintage 1970s Psych Dress Printed Wool Georges Besson Paris

This is a 1970s psych dress featuring a colourful psychedelic influenced pattern in tones of orange, violet, blue, gold and bronze brown.  This 1970s psych dress is made of a lightweight wool challis. It has a high ruffled neck, long sleeves with a ruffled cuff and cinches at the waist with a matching belt that has a brass astrological sign buckle. The dress is fully lined, except for its sleeves, in copper coloured viscose rayon.

Maker’s label:  Creations Georges Besson Paris.  

Sizing: There is no size label, and although this 1970s psych dress should fit a medium size, please rely on the following measurements for fit:

Shoulders: 15” across shoulder/sleeve seams

Sleeves:  24” from the shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeve inseam:  17 1/2”

Bust: 36”

Waist: 32”, meant to be cinched with the belt

Hips: 36”

Overall Length: 43” measured flat from the neck seam

Condition: This 1970s psych dress very good condition with no wear, tear, staining or odour - there is, however, a tear to the backing vinyl of the belt at its tip and the belt has a hook but no accompanying eye, which is maybe a good thing as you can sew on an eye at the appropriate sizing for you.  Also, please note that the central motif on the dress is a little off centre, but this is original to the making of the dress.
