Vintage 1970s Plaid Blazer Jacket Red White Blue Check Size 36
This is a tailored vintage 1970s plaid blazer. The jacket is made in a crisp red, white, and navy plaid with fine yellow accent striping.
The blazer features a structured silhouette with padded shoulders, high set wide notched lapels, a three-button front, straight hip pockets, and a single rear vent. It is partially lined in a copper-brown lining. Inside, the jacket retains an Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America (ACWA) union label, used between 1962 and 1976.
Maker’s label: Mavest. Mavest was an American brand based, I believe, in New York, and active from the 50s through the 70s.
Material: Outer fabric is likely polyester or a polyester blend (no fibre content label present)
