Vintage 1970s Novelty Tie Remon d’Urville Paris Horse & Zebra

Vintage 1970s Novelty Tie Remon d’Urville Paris Horse & Zebra

$55.00

This is a vintage 1970s novelty tie designed by Remon d’Urville Paris featuring a unique woven animal scene depicting a horse and zebra in an illustrated pastoral setting. The background is a soft blue, with the imagery rendered in cream and accented with small touches of red.  The tie is made of polyester, with a smooth satin-like finish typical of mid-20th-century French production.

The tie measures 57" in length and 4 3/8" in width at the widest point. The width suggests late 1960s to early 1970s styling, when ties were broad and bold patterned designs were in fashion. The label is sewn on the back blade and notes the Parisian origin.

Condition:  in very good vintage condition with no noted wear, soiling or staining - the tie requires pressing, best done by a professional dry cleaner.

A distinctive vintage 1970s novelty tie with an unusual equestrian motif—sure to be noticed!
