This is a lovely silk twill scarf made by Gucci during the 1970s. The scarf is printed with a floral design, I believe petunia and bluebell flowers. This scarf would have been produced during the period that Vittorio Accornero was designing floral scarves for Gucci, but I don’t know if this is one of his designs. “Gucci” is printed in two opposite corners in black while the flowers are printed in a vibrant pink magenta, tones of blue, green, yellow and black against a white ground with blue border. The scarf measures 27” by 26 1/2”. The scarf has an affixed label that reads “Gucci Made in Italy Dry Clean Only Cool Iron Do Not Use Petroleum Solvents 100%-Seta-Silk-Seide-Soie”. The edge is hand rolled and finished. It is in very good condition - there is one pinprick hole near the edge caused by a price barb, but, aside from some creasing, that is all, no wear or staining. This is quite the lovely scarf - Gucci quality was exceptionally high during the 1970s!
