Vintage 1970s Faux Shearling Coat by Utex Men’s Size M

This is a vintage 1970s faux shearling coat made by Utex under their Call of the Wild label. The coat features a tan suede-look exterior and a plush dark brown Borg fleece lining, including a full fleece interior body and collar. Styled in a double-breasted cut with wide lapels and pearlescent plastic buttons, this is a classic cold-weather coat with a rugged retro look.

A staple of Canadian winter fashion in the 1970s, Borg fabric provided the look and warmth of shearling while remaining lightweight and durable. This coat has side pockets, a deep notch collar, and a straight longline silhouette. 

Material:

Exterior: 80% cotton, 20% polyurethane (suede-look finish)

Lining: Borg fleece (acrylic/cotton blend)

Sleeves lined in quilted fabric for ease of wear

Sizing:  No size indicated, and although this should fit a medium size (likely US size 38, possibly 40), please rely on the following measurements for fit:

Shoulders: 18” across

Sleeves: 25 1/2” from shoulder seam

Sleeve inseam: 17”

Chest: 44” around

Waist: 40” around

Length: 34” from back neck seam

Condition: Very good condition. Some colour variance to the exterior, but this replicates a suede look, so shouldn’t bother anyone too much.  Otherwise, no pronounced wear, tear, soiling, staining or odour.
