Vintage 1970s Disco Shirt Polyester Bird Pattern Size XL

This is a vintage 1970s disco shirt featuring a striking pattern consisting of four birds in four tones of brown against a black crisscross and white background punctuated by small coloured squares.  This 1970s disco shirt has a long pointy collar, a left chest pocket, and closes with seven buttons down the front.  Note that the shirt was too large for my mannequin, so was pinned back for the photos, but it should fit tightly in any case.

Material:  100% polyester

Label: Vilana 98 Made in Canada CA00244 - that Canadian textile identification number belongs to Four Star Sigma Knitting Inc. of Montreal.

Sizing: Size XL is indicated, and although this 1970s disco shirt should fit a large to extra large size, please rely on the following measurements for fit, noting the stretch of the fabric and that these disco shirts were meant to fit tightly.

Neck:  17”- 17 1/2”

Shoulders:  19” across from seam to seam

Sleeves:  25 1/2” long from the shoulder seam and 35” from mid-neck to the cuff

Sleeve inseam:  21” 

Chest: 45” around, taken under the arms

Waist:  41” around

Length: 31”, measured flat at the back from the neck seam

Condition: This 1970s disco shirt is in very clean condition with no wear, tear, staining or odour.  This looks to have seen very little use - ready to wear.
