Vintage 1970s Christian Dior Skirt and Top Black w Gold M 8

This is a vintage 1970s Christian Dior skirt and top set.  The top to this 1970s Christian Dior skirt and top set is made in a wrap around style of black chiffon lined netting that is decorated with gold sequins - there is a long sash at either side of the waist that wraps around the top and secures to the other sash at the front.  It has long sleeves with single button cuffs.  The skirt is made of a black fabric that is woven with gold metallic thread to form a dot pattern overall.  It wraps around and does up with two hooks and eyes at the waist and five hooks and eyes down the left side front.

Retailer’s label: H.R.’s Boutique Made in France.  H.R.’s Boutique was part of the Holt Renfrew department store.  Holt Renfrew is a Canadian department store chain that sells only designer, high-end private label and luxury goods.

Material: No content label on this 1970s Christian Dior skirt and top set. I’m unsure of the fabric content, but obviously, high quality fabrics were used.  

Sizing: Size 8 is indicated, and although this 1970s Christian Dior skirt and top set should fit a medium size, please rely on the following measurements for fit:

Shoulders:  16” across seam-to-seam

Sleeves:  23 1/2” long

Sleeve Inseam:  17 1/2”

Bust: 36” around, taken under the arms

Waist: 32” around

Length:  16 1/2”

Sash:  58” long at either side

Skirt:

Waist: 28” around

Hips:  44” around

Length:  38”

Condition:  This 1970s Christian Dior skirt and top set is in excellent condition, very clean with no noted wear, tear or staining.
