Vintage 1970s Blue Leather Jacket Disco Era Men’s Size Small

Vintage 1970s Blue Leather Jacket Disco Era Men’s Size Small

$175.00

This is a wonderful early to mid 1970s blue leather jacket, imported and sold by Le Chateau, a Montreal based retailer. Made of genuine leather in a dark blue tone with a soft sheen, this jacket features strong period styling — wide pointed collar, flap chest pockets with chevron stitching, five-button front, and fitted cut through the body.

Label & Dating:  Le Chateau.  This is an early Le Chateau label.  Le Chateau was founded by Herschel Segel in 1959 and expanded into a chain of retail stores over the next decades.  During the 60s, they began importing garments from Europe, often from France, and although styles were aimed at a young demographic, quality was excellent.  The look and quality of this jacket points to likely French manufacture.
