An original 1970 Brazilian pressing of Paulinho da Viola's celebrated album Foi Um Rio Que Passou em Minha Vida, released on the Odeon label (catalogue MOFB 3629). Widely regarded as one of the finest recordings of the golden era of samba, this album captures Paulinho da Viola at the height of his creative powers, blending elegant melodies, poetic songwriting, and understated vocal delivery.

The title track, Foi Um Rio Que Passou em Minha Vida, remains one of the most beloved songs in Brazilian popular music. The album also includes favourites such as Para Não Contrariar Você, Estou Marcado, Lamentação, Tudo Se Transformou, Nada de Nôvo, and Jurar com Lágrimas.

Vinyl: Near Mint. Exceptionally clean and glossy with minimal evidence of handling.

Cover: Near Mint. The original sandwich-style sleeve remains remarkably well preserved with bright colours, crisp edges, and only very light signs of storage. The original Lojas Americanas S.A. retail price label is still present on the reverse, a desirable period feature.

A beautiful collector-quality example of one of the essential albums of Brazilian samba and MPB, increasingly difficult to locate in this condition outside Brazil.
