Vintage 1968 Floppy Hat White Felt with Back Lacing Size M

This is a wonderful quality white felt floppy hat dating to 1968, made in Switzerland by Brunschwig.  It came from the estate of a wealthy lady who left notes with her hats, including the date that the hat was bought by her.  In this case, the original bill was left in the hat box with the floppy hat - it was bought at Holt Renfrew, which is a high end department store that has always sold either luxury brands or high end private label.  It was bought on August the 14th, 1968 and cost $35, substantial money at that time at a hat.  It is very plain except for the matching felt lacing down the back.  It has a high round crown and wide floppy brim.  The felt is exceptionally soft - this is a quality floppy hat.  The sweatband with its affixed label was removed from the hat, but is included loose with the hat.  The opening measures about 21 3/4” around, so should fit a medium size, about a size 7.  The brim measures 2 5/8” in width at the front and 3 1/2” in width at the back.  It is in very clean condition with no wear, tear, soiling or odour.  This floppy hat looks to have seen little use and was well kept over the years.
