This is a vintage 1960s Bombardier Ski Doo jacket. The jacket is made in a long windbreaker style with a 100% purple maroon nylon exterior and red cotton/acrylic lining. A Bombardier Ski-Doo logo appears at the left side sleeve of the jacket, more subtle than later issues where logos were more prominent. The jacket does up the front with a metal zipper and has two side pockets that close with snaps. There is also a zippered chest pocket and a zippered pocket on the upper left sleeve. It has an elasticized collar that can be zipped up to protect the neck (see photo) and elasticized cuffs. There is a nylon hood that is stored in a pocket at the upper interior neck area. The jacket is lined in acrylic fleece that is backed with cotton interlining. The waist can be cinched using the string on the interior (see close-up photo) and with the matching belt. The earlier Ski-Doo label and the lack of a CA textile identification number indicates a pre-1970 jacket.
Sizing: No size is indicated and although this should fit a large size, please note the following measurements for fit, taking the cut of the garment into account:

The Ski Doo was voted one of the most innovative Canadian inventions and launched a great sports vehicle and aircraft manufacturer. What can be more Canadian than winter sports wear?
