Vintage 1960s Red Crochet Top Hand Knit Pullover Size M

This is a vintage 1960s red pullover top that is hand crochet knitted.  The top has a scoop neckline front and back, short sleeves and is made in an over-the-hip length.  It is unlined so you would have to wear something underneath.  It is knit with four different stitching patterns - the sleeves have a very open stitching, the top edge of the bodice being a little more detailed but still fairly open, while the skirt is a little open and the body of the bodice having the tightest knit.  It has no closures - one simply slips this over one’s head.  The skirt of the piece flares out at the waist so that it falls in drapes - it is very wide at the bottom (note hemline measurement below).

Label:  None - this was hand knit. 

Material: Unsure - the yarn has a sheen to it and the piece is quite heavy and falls beautifully, so probably rayon or a blend of some sort.

Sizing:  No size is indicated, but this should fit a medium size - please rely on the following measurements for fit, keeping the style of the garment in mind (please measure your body or a similar garment that you might own for comparison):

Bust: 34 around, but there is stretch to the knit, so probably could accommodate a 36” bust

Waist: 32” around

Hips:  Full - 50” around, meant to fall loosely

Hemline:  104” around

Overall length: 27”, measured flat

Condition:  It is in very good condition with no wear, tear or soiling.  This top looks to have seen very little use and was well cared for over the years.
