Vintage 1960s Mens Mod Overcoat 100% Pure Cashmere Black Coat Size M L

Brand Poppy's Vintage Clothing

This is a luxurious pre-owned mod era black overcoat made of 100% pure cashmere fabric.  The coat dates either to the late 60s or early 1970s and is made in a double breasted “military” style.  The fabric is very soft, in a good thickness, light yet warm, and of very nice quality.  The coat has padded shoulders, high set military lapels, eight leather button double breasted closure, angle flapped side pockets, with a faux upper pocket second flap on the right side, two button cuffs and 19” kick vent.  The coat is fully lined in black satin rayon.  The coat has an ACWA (Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America) union label that dates to between 1962 and 1976.

Sizing: There is no size label, and although this should fit a size 40/42, please rely on the following measurements for fit, taken from the exterior (please take the thickness of the fabric and the cut of the garment into consideration):

Shoulders: 20” across shoulder/sleeve seam to shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeves: 25” from shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeve Inseam: 16 1/2” long

Chest: 46” around, taken under the arms

Waist: 43”

Hips:  46”

Overall length: 42 1/2“, measured flat

Condition:  Although pre-owned, this coat is in very good condition - it’s obvious that it saw very little use.  It is very clean and has been well stored.

This is a great coat - wonderful mod period military style in a quality 100% pure cashmere!
