This is a vintage 60s dress, part of the Collection Boutique Jean Patou Paris, made in France for Holt Renfrew of Canada. Holt Renfrew is an upscale Montreal fashion store that carries luxury goods and high end fashion and, of course, Jean Patou is a venerable French fashion house dating to 1919. Although Patou died in 1936, the label was popular during the 60s, with Karl Lagerfeld designing five collections from 1958 until 1963.

Label: Collection Boutique Jean Patou Paris

Retailer's Label: Made in France for Holt Renfrew
The dress is made with capped sleeves and a high V shaped neckline. The right collar is rounded and continues down the bodice to the waist - the neckline does up with a hook and eye at the neck area and two blue plastic buttons down the front. The dress is cut in a slight A line to the knee. The seams are hand sewn. It is fully lined in rayon acetate.

Color: Navy blue

Material: Wool crepe - excellent quality and of a heavier gauge/weight

Sizing: No size is indicated, but please rely on the following measurements for fit:

Bust: 37" around, taken under the arms

Waist: 34"

Hips: 37"

Hemline: 48" around

Overall length: 38"

It's in very good condition with the exception of some discoloration to the lining in the armpit area. Otherwise, this looks like it was well cared for over the years.

This is a very nice quality dress - excellent French manufacture and design as one would expect with Jean Patou. Reminds me of something Audrey Hepburn may have worn.  Easy to wear, simple, clean elegant 60s look.
