This is a vintage 60s era wraparound skirt that was made in India. The skirt is embroidered in bright tones of pink, blue, goldenrod and green as well as in maroon and white against a black cotton background. The skirt wraps around and is secured with the aid of straps on either end, one that inserts through a slot cut in the waistband and then tie together at the appropriate sizing, anywhere between 25” and 33” around.
Sizing: No size is indicated, but as mentioned, this should fit a range of sizes - please note the following measurements for fit, taking the style of the skirt into consideration:
Waist: 25” around at its smallest adjustment to 33” around at its largest adjustment
Hips: 34” to 42”, depending on waist adjustment - meant to fall loosely on the hip
Overall length: 41", measured flat
Condition: This skirt is in very good condition with no pronounced wear, tear or staining. It looks like it saw little use and was well stored over the years.
These early 70s Indian cotton skirts look great and are comfy to wear.....wonderful festival piece!
