Vintage 1960s Gold Metallic Lace 2 Piece Dress Ensemble Top and Skirt
This is a vintage 1960s gold metallic lace 2 piece dress or ensemble consisting of a sleeveless fitted top and a coordinating skirt. The fabric is a beautifully textured floral metallic lace woven in rich gold over an ecru coloured base fabric, giving the outfit a luminous, elegant sheen typical of mid-to-late 1960s eveningwear.
The top is sculpted through the bodice and features a wide neckline finished with dimensional floral lace and scalloped edging. The skirt falls in a slim line and is finished with a scalloped lace hem that mirrors the neckline for a cohesive couture-inspired look. The top closes with three hooks and loops at the left shoulder and a metal zipper at the left side while the skirt closes with a metal zipper at the back and two hooks and loops at the waistband.
There are no labels present and the interior hand finishing suggests careful seamstress construction. Both pieces are fully backed in ecru acetate.
