This is a fabulous 1960s vintage dinner/formal jacket featuring a brocade gold and black lamé fabric. The jacket has narrow width matching shawl lapels, and jetted pockets at either side and at the left chest. There is a double vent at the back. The jacket does up with a single matching button at the waist. There are 2 interior pockets - one has the maker’s label in it with the union label on the interior of the pocket. There is a single matching button at either cuff. It is fully lined in an ochre gold taffeta fabric. There are spare buttons sewn into the interior.

Union label: ACWU (Amalgamated Clothing Workers Union) that was used between 1962 and 1976.

Sizing: No size is indicated, but it should fit a medium size, probably a US size 38 - please rely on the following measurements for fit, taken from the outside:

Sleeves: 25 3/4” long
Sleeve Inseam: 17”

Waist: 41” around
Overall length: 29 1/2“, measured flat
Condition: It is in excellent condition, very crisp and clean with no wear, tear or staining. This tux jacket looks like it saw little, if any, use and was well cared for over the years.
This is a great 60s period dinner jacket, the type of thing that an R&B/Soul singer would have worn during the 1960s - wonderful fabric and colour, rarely seen!
