Vintage 1960s Dress and Jacket Ensemble by Daymore Turquoise w Beaded Collar

This vintage 1960s dress and jacket ensemble by Daymor consists of a sleeveless dress paired with a cropped, tailored jacket, both rendered in a vibrant turquoise colour with a subtle slub.  I believe that it is made of silk, but it is unlabelled, so I can’t be 100% sure.  The dress features a fitted sheath style with a high neckline finished with a silver-toned lace collar accented with iridescent crystal beading. The coordinating jacket matches the dress fabric and is designed with a clean, structured silhouette, covered buttons, and matching beaded trim at the cuffs.

Material:
Silk or possibly a silk-look fabric - it feels like silk to me, but it is unlabelled, so I can’t say for absolutely sure

Fully lined

Label: Daymor Original. Daymor Dress Inc. of Montreal was founded during the mid 1950s and had offices in New York. They now produce formal wear under the Daymor Couture label with a specialization in mother of the bride and groom garments.

Age:  probably late 1960s, possibly early 70s

Sizing:
There is no size indicated and although this should fit a small to maybe medium size, please refer to measurements below.

Jacket measurements:
Shoulders: 15½” across seam-to-seam.
Sleeves: 22” from the shoulder seam.
Sleeve inseam: 16½”.
Bust: 38” around, taken under the arms.
Waist: 33” around.
Length: 15½”.

Dress measurements:
Bust: 35” around.
Waist: 32½” around.
Hips: 35” around.
Overall length: 41”, measured flat.

Condition: In very good condition with no pronounced wear, tear, soiling, staining or odour.
