Vintage 1960s Brutalist Dangle Earrings Pewter Gilles Vidal

Brand Etsy

This is a wonderful pair of brutalist earrings unsigned, but typical of Montreal jewellers Guy (Gilles) Vidal and Robert Latin. They are made of pewter cast in the lost wax method and are electroplated with silver and cast as a series of rectangular shapes stacked one on top of the other. Each measures 1 1/4 in in height, exclusive of their screw-on fasteners. They are in very good condition.

Guy Vidal and Robert Larin are two Canadian jewelry designers who worked in similar metal and had similar designs during the 1960s and 70s, although I tend to think that these are more likely by Vidal.this is a very interesting pair, sure to be noticed....
