This is a striking sleeveless black and silver lurex dress made by Rappi. This silver lurex dress is made in a below the knee length. It has a bateau neckline and a blouson bodice. The waist hugs the body and is accented at the front with a matching bow. The skirt is constructed with box pleats, which give the the skirt an attractive “fall”. This silver lurex dress is lined in a black acetate fabric.

Label: Rappi. Rappi was born Sydonia Rappaport Samalman in Austria, and was one of a select number of American designers specializing in higher-end formalwear aimed at debutantes.
Retailer label: Judith Clark Inc Montreal. Judith Clark owned a high-end ladies’ dress boutique located in downtown Montreal. As an aside, Judith Clark was married to Morris “Two Gun” Cohen, a colourful character who, despite being caucasian, became a general in the Chinese military during the 1930s, the only non-Chinese to ever hold that rank.
