This is an excellent quality 100% pure cashmere cardigan sweater made in Scotland by Ballantyne for Holt Renfrew of Canada. It is made in black and has lace insetting across the bodice, across the back and on the end of the sleeves. The lace is accented with iridescent blue bugle beads. The sweater is made with a high rounded neckline with small collar that is made of lace with beading. It has a nine button front closure - the buttons are made of blue iridescent beads. It is unlined and the cuffs and bottom are ribbed.
Label: Made in Scotland Exclusively for Holt Renfrew of Canada by Ballantyne 100% Pure Cashmere - the cashmere is very soft, as you would expect with older Scottish cashmere.
Sizing: No size is indicated, and although the lady from whom this was acquired wore a medium size, please rely on the following measurements for fit:
Shoulders: 15” across, seam to seam
Sleeves: 18” from the shoulder seam
Sleeve inseam: 14”
Bust: 37” around, taken under the arms
Bottom: 29” around, unstretched, stretches out to 36” max - it has a ribbed bottom

Condition: It is in very good condition with no pronounced wear, tear, holes or other defect. I haven’t laundered or dry cleaned the item, but it appears to be fairly clean - a professional cleaning would be beneficial, however.
This is a beautiful quality cashmere sweater - fabulous beaded lace detailing!
