This is a beautiful quality 100% pure cashmere pullover sweater made in Scotland by Ballantyne for Holt Renfrew of Canada.  It dates to the 1960s.  The front is knit in an argyle pattern in three tones of pink and two tones of beige against the solid pink background colour.  The intersecting lines of the pattern are raised against the background.  It has long sleeves and high rounded neckline.  It does up at the upper back with a nylon zipper. It is unlined and the neckline, cuffs and bottom are ribbed.  The cashmere is in a medium thickness yet light and ultra soft.
