This is a wonderful late 1960s or early 70s vintage faux fur overcoat designed by Stanley Blacker. This vintage faux fur overcoat has a Borg Alaskan acrylic brown “fur pile” exterior meant to replicate mouton fur. It has notched lapels that can be folded over to close the neck (see photo), however there is no button or buttonhole for keeping it closed. This vintage faux fur overcoat has a six button double breasted front and side pockets and is lined in a gold toned satin fabric..

Stanley Blacker was an American designer who, after working at his father’s clothing company, established his own company in 1955. He was amongst the first designers to advertise his name on garments, leading to the designer trend.
