This is a souvenir concert tour program titled The Biggest Show of 53. The show featured four principle artists: Louis Jordan, Ella Fitzgerald, Woody Herman and Frankie Laine, who appeared to be the headliner. 1953 was right at the cusp of the advent of rock n roll, which was influenced by R n B. Louis Jordan is credited with having a great influence on the rock and roll and rhythm and blues performers who were to follow. Frankie Laine was very popular at the time and known for crossing genres. Ella Fitzgerald, of course, is considered one of the greatest jazz vocalists and Woody Herman was a very popular swing band leader. The program consists of 16 pages plus cover and measures 9 by 12. It is in great condition - very little signs of wear, practically nothing. This is a wonderful collectible souvenir program.
