This is a 1950s wool gabardine raincoat made in dark navy blue. This 1950s wool gabardine raincoat has raglan style sleeves, a high set collar, hidden button front and adjustable 2 button belts at the sleeve cuffs. The coat has a diagonal pocket built into either side and a 15 1/2” kick vent at the centre back. It has a tartan patterned wool zip-in protective lining and is lined in black satin rayon.

Sizing: No size is indicated on this 1950s wool gabardine raincoat, but it should fit a medium size, probably a US size 38, or 36 depending on whether you want to wear a jacket underneath - please rely on the following measurements for fit, taken from the exterior (please take the thickness of the fabric and the cut of the garment into consideration):

Condition: This 1950s wool gabardine raincoat is in very good condition with no pronounced wear, tear, staining or odours except for a pinhead sized hole on the right sleeve (see last close-up photo), and, like most vintage gabardine, has some slight shininess to the fabric, primarily at the back. Otherwise, clean and well stored over the years. .
