This is a very pretty 1950s voile dress made with a top layer of blue nylon voile over a blue acetate base. Both the nylon voile and acetate base are printed with a spotted pattern in darker blue, similar to a leopard print. This 1950s voile dress is sleeveless and has a boat or bateau neckline at the front and a deep V shaped neckline at the back. The dress was posed with a crinoline underneath - no crinoline is provided, so to get the same 50s full skirt look you would need to own or acquire a crinoline. The dress does up the back with a metal zipper.
Age: 1950s
Label: Jonathan Logan Jonathan Logan was founded in 1938 by David Schwartz with Dorris Varnum designing the line. During the mid-1950s Jeanne Carr took over as designer.
