This is a wonderful 1950s tulle dress featuring a hand embroidered navy blue floral pattern throughout the tulle netting. This 1950s tulle dress is made with cap sleeves and has a V shaped neckline front and back - the neckline is bordered with three rows of navy blue ribbon that form bows on the shoulders. The skirt flares out to an ankle length. The waist cinches with a matching belt. The dress is constructed with a top layer of tulle netting, a middle layer of tulle and a bottom layer of rayon taffeta fabric. This 1950s tulle dress was photographed with a crinoline - the use of a crinoline creates a fuller look although it’s not absolutely necessary. The dress closes with a zipper down the left side.
Label: only the retailer’s label Judith Clark Montreal. Judith Clark owned a high-end ladies’ dress boutique located in downtown Montreal. As an aside, Judith Clark was married to Morris “Two Gun” Cohen, a colourful character who, despite being caucasian, became a general in the Chinese military during the 1930s, the only non-Chinese to ever hold that rank.
Sizing: No size is indicated, and although this 1950s tulle dress should fit a medium size, please note the following measurements for fit:
