This is a men’s 1950s overcoat made of superfine lambswool.  This 1950s overcoat has high set medium width notched lapels and padded shoulders.  It has a three button front and has a large flapped patch pocket at either side as well a 12” centre kick vent at the bottom back.  The sleeves are finished with turned half cuffs.  This 1950s overcoat is fully lined in purplish satin fabric.  The wool is tighter woven in a heavier medium weight so is appropriate for winter use.

Color: Dark blue in a muted tone

Sizing: No size is indicated on this 1950s overcoat, but this should fit a US size 42, maybe a size 40, depending on preference for fit and whether you will wear a jacket underneath - please rely on the following measurements for fit, taken from the exterior (please take the thickness of the wool into consideration):

Shoulders: 20” across shoulder seam-to-seam 

Sleeves: 25” from shoulder seam

Sleeve Inseam: 14” long

Chest: 49” around, taken under the arms

Waist: 50” around

Hips:  50” around

Overall length: 40", measured from the back neck seam to the hemline

Condition:  This 1950s overcoat coat is in very good condition - no pronounced wear, tear, soiling or odour, except that the lining has discoloured at the centre upper.  Otherwise, This has been well cared for and stored over the years.
