Vintage 1950s Fashion Doll Allied Grand Co 19 Tall

This is a 1950s or early 60s era fashion doll made by the Allied Grand Doll Manufacturing Company of Brooklyn, New York. Allied Grand is also referred to by collectors as Allied Eastern, and was active from 1915 until 1980. This doll is beautifully dressed in a long gown with lace bodice and semi-translucent skirt. She is wearing a pearl necklace and pearl earrings as well as high heel shoes. She measures 19 in height to the top of her hair and about 18 1/2 to the top of her skull. She has a vinyl head and hard plastic jointed body. The only marking is 14R on the back of her neck - I see no other markings, but 14R is a typical mark used by Allied. She is in very good condition - the vinyl head has a different colour tone from her hard plastic body and her right sleep eye is a little lazy opening from a reclining to upright position, but this is a quite minor consideration. She displays very well and comes with the metal posing stand. The jewelry is surprisingly good quality and she is a lovely doll - with just a little TLC, shell be a great addition to a doll collection!
