This is a wonderful vintage 1950s dress made of a green and purple silk brocade. The pattern features a repeating abstract floral form motif. This 1950s dress has a wide shawl collar that is decorated with a matching fabric flower at the centre bust. It has a matching belt and is made in a below-the-knee sheath style with short sleeves. The dress is unlined and does up the back with a metal zipper.

Shoulders: 14 1/2” across from shoulder seam to shoulder seam
Bust: 35” around
Waist: 27” around
Hips: 36”-37” around
Overall length: 40”, measured flat at the back from the neck seam
Condition: This 1950s dress is in very good condition with no pronounced wear, tear, pulls, stains or other defect. It looks like it saw little use and was well cared for and stored over the years. Note, however, that the belt is a different tone from the dress
